Pierre Kalulu is attracting Premier League interest, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa all monitoring the Juventus defender, according to Football Italia.
Football Italia reports that Liverpool's scouting staff have filed positive assessments of Kalulu, though the Turin club will not be rushed into any decision over a player who arrived at Juventus from AC Milan and has established himself as a reliable presence in their defensive unit.
The breadth of English interest will give Juventus a degree of leverage should any formal approach materialise. Three clubs of that standing expressing an interest in the same player rarely simplifies a negotiation, and the competition may well push any eventual fee beyond what any single suitor had initially budgeted.
Kalulu is a French international defender who built his reputation at AC Milan before making the move to Turin. His ability to operate at centre-back and at right-back gives him a positional flexibility that tends to appeal to clubs managing deep fixture lists across domestic and European competition — a quality Liverpool, in particular, have historically prized in their defensive recruits.
For Juventus, the timing of any departure would matter as much as the fee. The club have been working to rebuild their defensive structure over recent seasons, and losing an established member of that unit mid-project carries costs that transfer income alone does not always offset.
Football Italia's report does not indicate that any of the three clubs have yet moved to a formal bid, and the suggestion at this stage is that interest remains at the scouting and assessment phase. Whether Liverpool's positive internal reports translate into an opening offer, or whether United or Villa move first, remains to be seen.
